I have now purchased three of these items (2 large for general use & 1 small for the bedroom), and they are extremely efficient, effective, and quiet in operation. Additionally, they are unquestionably good value for money. They are sturdily made, which is more than can be said for others I have purchased in the past, and are easily controlled by the remote control.
My daughter has two of the smaller ones which she uses in the children's bedrooms, and she holds the same opinion as do I.
I have used other fans, but this remains, "head and shoulders above the rest".
I would willingly recommend this 1st Class item to anyone!

Ordered this on the strength of other reviews on this site, and have to say I am very pleased I did.
Well made, whisper-quiet tower fan and yes, it does have 8 speed settings, as well as oscillating, ionising and a 'sleep timer'.
The remote works really well, controlling all the functions including setting the timer, and the only slight downside for me is the brightness of the display when I am trying to get to sleep with it on in the corner of the bedroom. Thoroughly recommended !

THIS FAN DOES THE TRICK BUT IS BIG SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE LOTS OF SPACE. IT HAS A REMOTE CONTROL THAT IS USEFUL BUT NEEDS TO BE TURNED RIGHT DOWN FOR A QUIET NIGHT'S SLEEP. I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED FOR THE PRICE BUT IT DID HELP DURING THE TWO WEEKS OF HUMID DAYS AND NIGHTS WE HAD IN JUNE. AT THE END OF SUMMER I WILL BE GLAD TO PUT THE CUMBERSOME THING IN THE LOFT AND WAIT FOR THE NEXT HUMID SPELL WE GET IN THE UK.

Bought the Premiair PTF06RI Remote Control Tower Fan with Ioniser during the heat wave and it has proved to be an excellent machine. It feels like an air conditioner and it comes with a remote control which is fab!!

Just got this fan and very impressed. Bought it to use in the bedroom in the hot weather and its doing a great job. Very quiet, plenty of speed settings and looks very good.
The only slight negatives are that every time you press a button or use the remote control the fan beeps quite loudly and in the middle of the night when you want to turn it up or down discreetly it could easily disturb anyone else in the room. Also wish the panel light dimmed after a while as its quite bright in the night so a post-it sticker comes in handy to block out the light.

Apart from those minor niggles I would recommend this fan.
