Reviewer: Busybee,
I was always worried about putting my daughter in her own room! THis gives me the piece of mind she is always ok. I think its fantastic. Such a brilliant monitor. Beats all monitors out there!!! Definatly recommend. All parents should have one

I like many other first time parents did a lot of research on which monitor to choose - as it really is an item that will be used for quite a while. I investigated all the options from sound only, all the way through to video+movement+sound. Balancing price with features, and general sanity on requirements, I figured that video monitoring really is a bit over the top for my needs.

I've heard complaints from other parents using other monitors that pairing with the base station can be an issue, and sometimes they get interference in the audio from cordless phones around the house.

With this device, it really does just work straight out of the box - and we haven't suffered any interference at all. We followed the guidelines and put in a slat of wood at the bottom of the cot, with the sensor pad on top, followed by the mattress. It detects the baby's heartbeat amazingly well - infact so well, that we had to turn the sensitivity down from the default setting "3" to just over "1" (comes in a range from 1 - 5), as "3" was picking up the fan blowing on the cot. Once the sensitivity was adjusted, as soon as our baby is picked up from the cot, the movement sensor detects it. We haven't had any false positives after we've tweaked the settings, and the audio pick up is also fantastic!

The audio monitor turns on the audio stream when it detects sounds above a certain volume (which you can set), stays on for a little while after the sounds were detected, and then turns off if there is no more noise. This is great as it means that you don't need to worry about listening to a hiss all the time, and it saves battery power! If you do want the sound always on, then there's an option for that too.

The temperature readout is nice - not that we do much with it though...

The range is also brilliant, we have really thick walls (old colonial house) and it transmits from one end of the estate to the other.

With the ease of use, and the extensive configuration options that this device provides, I'm glad I picked it, and actively recommend it to others. This device is well worth the price for the peace of mind it provides.
at last ababy product that does what it says on the box

Reviewer: olivia,
Being a nanny for many years, i have work for many different families and used a number of different moniters. When i became pregnant with my first child i reseached all baby moniters and this is the best i have come across by far. It is well worth the money and a brillient quality product. My only word of advice is the initial set up can seem confusing so dont wait until you bring your new baby home.
I would recommend this Monitor

Reviewer: Danw,
Despite initially thinking it didn't work - it did we just hadn't read the instructions and tried testing it without the baby (obvious when you think about it!) we've found it works a treat and is a great reassurance when you want to put the baby down in her own room, rather than next to you. The intermitent beebs although a little tricky to fall asleep with to begin with - you keep waiting for the next one to check she's still ok - is very reassuring when you're awake and have just put her down for a nap. The addition of the temperature guage, night light and sound function really makes this monitor a great buy - value for money is very good especially when you consider a rival brand is nearly twice the price.
I would certainly recommend this as a monitor to use. It has allowed me to put my 2 week old baby down for a nap in her room whilst i do stuff downstairs/in the garden and has meant my husband and i can relax in the evening without going over to check on the baby every 5 minutes. Although we don't yet use it at nighttime (baby sleeps in our room)i won't hesitate to in the future.
Great Product

Reviewer: Sharma56,
Excellent buy!
A portable monitor with a mains charger, great for when in the kitchen or out in the Garden (no need to keep unplugging and moving to the same room)
Great reception, and displays the temperature.
The baby unit has a night light on it so able to see in the dark
