What ever you do, dont buy this. I bought it for Xmas 09 and within 1 month it developed a grinding noise, within 4 months I had a practically useless machine. I would not bother with it again. It is true what they say....you get what you pay for. Spend a bit more and get one that actually works and will last the distance. VERY disappointed.

i bought this item on the 12/4/2010 after three days it seized up so i contacted the supplier who sent a replacement out and today 19/06/2010 ive just put it on the tip as it fell apart, the quality is rubbish these must be 2nds DO NOT BUY.

when i received this i was so excited, i took it out the box and layed all the pieces out, it took me over 3 hours to put it together! the instructions might as well be written in japanese, it was more common sense than anything else, after i achieved my goal, i have used to nearly everyday and have gone from doing 5 minute workout to 26 minutes and it really is a good piece of equipment, unfortunately it now squeaks but wd40 solved that problem, yes i would highly recommend it

Confidence 2 in 1 Fitness Trainer. I managed to put this together is one evening but this was a struggle. The engineering on my machine was not exactly to high tolerances. For example, putting nuts on screws was often very difficult. The instructions are very poorly translated far Eastern. The diagrams just made sense and related to the correct text, but the whole pamphlet was obscurely written in low grade fonts and printing. On the whole there was a lack of instructions for assembling this device. Using the trainer, things were OK at first and this machine certainly did what it was supposed to do, but then things got difficult. Peddling forwards became especially difficult. After some time and a full inspection of the machine the wheel had moved in the spokes and was set at an angle in the frame and was abraiding a plastic casing. This has made it unusable. I have contacted the suppliers who have agreed to collect the bike for repair. They at first said I would have to pay £10.00 postage, but I pointed out the law that I do not have to pay for what is their problem, and they now seem to have conceded this point. I will continue this review when a repair/resolution is completed by the suppliers.

Buyer Beware: Its cheap for a reason, poor build quality

I bought this as I felt my trusty exercise bike was no longer testing me enough and I needed to raise my game cardio wise. The concept of having a 2 in 1 trainer seems appealing but the reaility is different. You don't really use the exerice bike at all as the cross trainer function is a better workout all round (as is all weight bearing cardio exercise). However, my experience with this product has led me to realise you need to spend a little more to ensure you get a robust piece of equipment. There are lots of moving parts on this type of kit so build quality is really important. Sadly this machine didn't have it. Within days of use one of the pedal hinge bolts developed a problem and had to be replaced (the seller was very responsive and helpful). Within a couple of weeks the whole thing began to squeek and rattle and finally the fly wheel siezed up. I am not heavy (90Kg) so it can't be put down to being pushed beyond its specification. Oil and grease is also a problem as all the moving parts are caked in it which means you get it all over the place (not ideal for a bedroom carpet even with protective covering!)

Sadly it has been consigned to the garage before being taken to the tip. I shall go back to the exercise bike and save up for a better quaility product.
