I was recommended to buy this by a very knowledgeable friend and I find it excellent, very reasonably priced and promptly delivered. Completely satisfied.

I previously had a advent laptop, i believe it was made in 2002 so being 2010 it began being riddled with problems, and not having the startup disc meant half of its components were never there when reseted. So i needed a new laptop for my game design course; one that had directX 9 and was upto date, after much research and making sure i didn't spend a couple hundred on something i weren't looking for, i came across this samsung NC10, it's price was perfect as i really didn't have alot to spend, and it sounded great.

I actually bought it from pc warehouse, some other online site that deals with school resources, i got the kb2-uk version or something along those lines, and it's brilliant! it's capable of running gamemaker 7 and google sketch 3d, i have malwarebytes anti malware and avast 5 along with the said programs and afew others, it doesn't run slow. (XP apparently works alot better than windows 7 on netbooks) it doesn't have a disc drive being a netbook but i bought a cheap cd drive from amazon and it works just fine. There is nothing bad i can say about this netbook, it's RAM can be upgraded from 1gb to 2gb or maybe even 3.5gb, the only warning i would give is when i first got it i installed my t-mobile dongle and shortly after whenever i went online, i would get the blue screen of death (very scary when you've just spent £250 on it) the good thing was i fixed it perfectly by downloading a microsoft hotfix (the hotfix was actually for if you get blue screens while connected remotely to another pc) also the touch pad has a little part on the side to scroll up and down but it got in the way and i could turn in off, it has a very handy battery manager and it's battery lasts for around 5-7 hours depending on usage, there is also samsung recovery which means you can easily store and restore your netbook. I wouldn't ask for any other netbook!
Just great

Reviewer: Hightower,
This is my second NC10. The first one I dropped from a very high height (accidentally and not as part of a crazy durability experiment). I love it. It does everything I need it to do - surf, email, download, with the addition purchase of MS Office it has it all.
A little disappointed..

Reviewer: Sh4rkey,
I ordered this in April '09. It worked perfectly straight out of the box. The spec on it is excellent and it is faster than you would imagine. I bought the external CD/DVD drive and it would play DVDs no problem. The built in camera is great for Skype and it's an all round easy to use netbook. Two problems: the screen went white after about 10 months and I had to send it back to get the ribbon connection from the screen to the motherboard replaced, then it worked perfectly again...until 14 months after purchase (out of warranty!) when the hard drive failed and had to be replaced at my own expense. Initially, I was delighted with the NC10, but after 14 months I'm a little disappointed.Samsung NC10 10.2-inch Netbook (Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Windows XP Home, Blue)
Have 2 of these - same fault on each one

Reviewer: Mr. G. A. Hay,
Somebody already highlighted the issue with this netbook below. I have 2 of these and both of them get white screen where you have to wiggle the screen to try and get rid of a white screen.
I have been searching internet forums to see how I can fix this as mine were both just out of warranty when it started to happen and it seems it could be a ribbon cable in the netbook coming loose but it appears to be an awkward netbook to dismantle and fix this. Really annoying and completely spoils an otherwise great machine.

"Great little computer but unfortunately the NC10 has a fault which is widely reported on IT bulletin boards and experienced by me personally. The screen goes intermittent white-out. No known fix. Appears to be a hardware problem (poor monitor connection) as the screen returns to normal if you wiggle it."
