I am aware that these hard-drives are notorious for failure, but I can say my hard-drive has lasted me nearly 2 years without one problem at-all! The hard-drive is rather fast, and quiet and I would definately buy another one if I needed more space!

This is the second drive I have bought from Western Digital, the first was a little passport - which I LOVE. This was really for use for backing up my back ups.

The drive itself is quite plasticy and attracts fingerprints like crazy.

Perfomance wise is good, but I have not used the installed software. Overall a good drive let down by the finish.
Fine until I needed it

The drive was easy to use and it worked fine until my Laptop failed. Now when I tried to restore my data it just clicks and refuses to recognise the drive. Data recovery tools at least allowed me to recover some of the files

The only important thing about a remote drive is that it should work reliably, and this one does exactly that. No fuss at all. Just plug it in and get on with life.

this hdd looks good and does what i need it to do. fairly easy to set up. it's my 1st hdd so i have nothing to compare it to but i would recomend it
