| Good for legs, Has solved that problem. But not much use any where else (pain and angle prevents it). I get it at a really cut down price so over all I am please. |
Great product - 4* from Me.

A great little product. The only downside I can find to this product is that it doesn't leave you with that smooth feeling that you get from shaving.
I now use the epilator for everything apart from my underarms. I tried this once and only got half of the one underarm done and couldn't take the pain any longer - it was actually bringing tears to my eyes...and I think I have a high pain tolerance normally! There is no way i'd even attempt trying to do this area again - not a chance!
I would definitely recommend this product to others - It is so much better than shaving.
It is very quick to use and you get hair free legs etc for so much longer!

| Prior to purchasing this product I undertook quite a bit of research and after considering the same settled on this product. It is not awful but I am quite dissapointed. If you are looking for a smooth finish then you would be better off continuing with waxing / purchasing an alternative epilator as it unfortunately does not leave a smooth finish so I will not be giving up my regular waxing appointment... |
Not too painful once to get used to it

Compared to my ancient Braun epilator from 10 years ago this is a dream. On legs it's really efficient and doesn't hurt at all, I found it was quicker and not any more painful to use it on legs without the 'massaging' pain relief cap. My first attempt on underarms was extremely painful and I only managed the one but I had been shaving so hairs were very strong since then it's been a breeze to use it on my underarms, I took it on a 3 week holiday and used it practically everyday as new growth appeared likewise for legs. The bikini line however, is another matter - I tried, I really did but there is no way I'm going to be using this on my bikini line however the electric shaver is perfect for this and did not irritate my usually very sensitive skin. I also used the facial cap which simply reduces the width of the epilator surface - this was fine to use dividing my husband's unibrow but was still far too wide and inaccurate to use on my eyebrows but I guess it would be useful for those with other facial hair to remove.
All in all a great product that will certainly save me money that would've been spent on waxing, razors etc. Not sure if the wet/dry functionality is any help as I'm not sure epilating submerged is efficient bu tit is useful in that it can be washed and taken apart to clean it. You will need to purchase a shaver adaptor if you do not have a shaving plug at home. |

I have been waxing for years and was introduced to the world of epilators by a friend on a recent holiday. The first time was a bit painful to say the least but got easier. On my return home I decided to splash out and get one myself. I liked the fact that this particular model can be brought into the shower but it suits my needs by being suitable for use on more delicate areas.
I gave it a go on the legs to begin with and although I wouldn't say the feeling was pleasant, it was bearable (helps if you've been waxing over time, might be more painful if going straight from shaving). The next task....the chin. It's a bit scary having little blades coming towards your face and then the light shines on the hairs and you realise there are even more hairs there than you thought, but sticking on the little head piece specifically for the face is reassuring. It is painful but each time it's got easier and easier. Facial hair can be unsightly and can be pretty unnoticeable one day, and the following - it's an issue. I spend a lot of time on driving as part of my job and don't always find the time to get to a salon, but now I can treat the hairs as soon as they are becoming a problem and don't have to feel embarrassed. I find that it catches the small hairs too.
I love this product. The Braun silk-épil is a little more expensive than some others but I have already made my money back in what I would be paying to a salon to get the same treatment, but now I can do it in the comfort of my own house. Huge savings in the end - if you're willing to fight through the pain at the start - after that, it does get easier. |
