| Having read lots of reviews about pop up tents, we decided to buy this one for our family of 3. I wanted a quick over night tent, instead of using our big family tent for when on a short camping trip. Putting up was quick and really easy. I had it up and sorted in 10 minutes, ideal when time is limited. I had read lots of reviews about the difficulty in putting it away, and I have to admit I tried doing it on my own and failed!! I got really cross because one reviewer siad she mangaged it easily by herself!! All I say is well done to her because I would have had no chance by myself... however once I enlisted the help of my husband the two of us got it back in the bag in a couple of minutes. The tent is spacious, good storage space, and so easy to put up, would recommend to anyone. |
A nightmare to put back in the bag

Yes this is a lovely big roomy tent, easy to put up BUT a complete nightmare to get back in the bag.
We had the whole campsite hooting with laughter at our attempts to follow the instructions to get it back into the bag. Unfortunately we didnt have enough space at home to unpack it and try before we had to make use of it (it is a big tent).
In the end the tent was flung unceremoniously into the back of the car.
Have tried again since to get it to squeeze back into what is a ludicrously tight fitting bag.
Would love it if the manufacturer or someone who has successfully packed the tent away would put a how to do it video together to show us what it is that we are doing wrong as we just cant get it to work - the bag goes all out of shape and there is no chance of getting the zip done up at the end.
Currently considering burning tent in back garden as taking up too much space in spare room! Certainly cant face dragging it along to next campsite for more ridicule. |
My camping trips just got a whole lot easier!

Just had my first outing with the Twister 3 and it endured some strong winds and heavy downpours with ease!
You need to make sure you have the poles under control as you are removing them from the bag so that they don't ping up at you! It just needs a little bit of pressure applied on the poles to bend them towards the middle of the bag which then releases them from the edge of the bag very easily. Putting tent away is pretty simple but again make sure you are flexing the poles so they go back into the bag, I found it easier to just roll it along the floor. Now, unfortunately mine seems to have gone back into the bag in more of an oval than a circle, so I can't zip the bag up fully, but I'm hoping that will get better with use/practise.
Space wise you've got plenty of room for double blow up mattress and space down the side for bits and pieces, and the porch area is about the same size again allowing for cool boxes, wellies etc. Great for one, good for two but you'd have to be very good friends to fit three people in!
Have taken away one star for 2 reasons - 1) the ground sheets are a thin nylon which, whilst it keeps the water out is also very thin and could tear easily. I've bought two of the tougher polythene groundsheets to put down over the top in the hope it'll prolong the life of the tent floor. 2) the carry bag - It could do with being a little tougher on the edges as I can see that the pole ends are going to wear a hole at some stage, I'll do my best to strengthen it with a bit of duct tape, otherwise I'll be asking Gelert to replace it!
Overall, I'm really pleased with my purchase and hope we'll have plenty more adventures together! |

Really good space nice and cozy.
It is very easy and fast to put up, not so easy to put away I am a big guy and it took a lot of my strenth to bend the poles back in the bag also needed a friend to help.
Seems weather proof so far.
Very large don't buy if you need to pack it in a small hatch back. |

| First item arrived damaged which was disappointing, had to wait another two days to receive one that I could get out of the bag that it comes in. Tent is a decent size but have not used it in the rain yet. |
